Our Services
Investigative Due Diligence
Japan Research Group provides investigative due diligence across Japan. We deliver verified intelligence from government records, proprietary databases, and local information networks, information that AI cannot access.
Japanese Civil Litigation
While standard background checks in Japan miss civil litigation due to lack of centralized records, JRG utilizes a proprietary database covering Tokyo, Yokohama, and Osaka courts since 2004. Database updated weekly. Searches can be conducted against the name of a company or an individual.
Japanese Bankruptcy
Comprehensive bankruptcy search from 1947 onwards. The search is based on name in Japanese and address history.
Japan Company Registration
Searches conducted under the company name in Japanese and address to identify the company's official registration documentation.
Japanese Property Record
Based on a provided address, we can obtain the property registration information to identify the owner of the property as well as the loan structure at the time of purchase.
Japanese Real Property Asset Search
Although it is possible to identify the owner of a plot of land in Japan through the Legal Affairs Bureau, it is not possible to reverse search under an individual's name to identify properties owned by them. However, JRG has developed access to an inhouse database listing the known ownership of 30% of properties in Japan. This allows us to search under an individual or company name and identify any properties that are knowingly linked to them.
